For more than 25 years Vandana has been working with others to help better their lives. In the process she has also searched for her own soul’s purpose. This seeking resulted in her developing astrology into a counselling tool. Vandana was born in Australia where she obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and Media with Honours in 2001. In 2004 she completed a Postgraduate in Therapy and Counselling at Swinburne University, Melbourne. Since meeting her guru—Mata Amritanandamayi Devi, also known as ‘Amma’—her primary residence has been in India where she studies vedic philosophy and is subsequently embarking on a life-long study of yoga and vedic science. Vandana studied vedic astrology for many years before becoming a vedic astrological counseller. Finding that inspiration she says, “makes my heart sing”.
Vandana seeks to create an environment for her clients that allows them to share safely the challenges they face in their internal and external worlds. She says, “I consider it a tremendous honour to read a person’s chart and to be present with them as together we navigate their personal history. My goal in the therapeutic process is to support a person to seek greater knowledge of themselves in an atmosphere of integrity and compassion, and enable them to live life with more love, kindness, self-respect and self-awareness”.
